Added with 2 energetic family members…(who shall remain nameless)

The answer???
a beautiful kayaking adventure on the Manistee River!
Here’s the scoop.
- Rent kayaks from Shel-Haven on M-72 west of Grayling. www.shel-haven.com
- Put in at 612. (that’s a road)
- Paddle, chat, paddle, chat, paddle…
- Enjoy the scenery.
- Eat lunch when you find a shallow or sandy spot.
- Share the Chocolate-chip cookies.
- Paddle, chat, paddle, chat, paddle…
- Enjoy the scenery.
- Take out about 4 hours later back at Shel-haven.
- Sigh contentedly!!!
An eating alternative is to either bulk up before you hit the river at a cute & extremely tasty place called Shirley’s just west of Shel-Haven on M-72 -OR- save Shirley’s for the trip home. A great choice either way!
Me… I’m off to whip up my own batch of those cookies…
PS…I cheated & looked for those Perseid meteors Saturday night…saw 12!
Sounds like a great recipe!
